*Class 1 - Cooking for 3-5 Yr. Olds - Mondays 1-2 Pm Fee: $11 Per Class
Dates: 11/30, 12/7, 12/14, 1/4, 1/11, 1/25
*Class 2 - Cooking for 3-5 Yr. Olds -Tuesdays 10-11am Fee: $11 Per Class
Dates: 12/1, 12/8, 12/15, 1/5, 1/12, 1/19, 1/26
**Children will prepare snacks and treats. They will measure, mix and create their own goodies. This class is a lot of fun and quite messy, too!! Parents are always welcome!!
*Class 3 - Intermediate Cooking Class (Ages 9 & Up) Fee: $14 Per Class
Mondays 4-5:30 Pm Dates: 11/30, 12/7, 12/14, 1/4, 1/11, 1/25
*Class 4- Intermediate Cooking Class (Ages 9 & Up) Fee: $14 Per Class
Tuesdays 4-5:30 Pm Dates: 12/1, 12/15, 1/5, 1/8(Fri.), 1/19, 1/26
**This class will prepare complete meals weekly, using all food groups.
We practice cutting, measuring and other food preparation/cooking skills.
*Class 5 & 6 - Arts and Crafts for 3-5 Yr. Olds Fee: $7 Per Class
Dates: 12/2, 12/9, 12/16, 1/6, 1/13, 1/20, 1/27
Class 5 - Wednesdays – 10-11am
Class 6 - Wednesdays - 1-2 Pm
**Young children love painting, gluing and creating! We will paint in each class. We
will count, identify and shapes and mix colors, and work with scissors. Parents are
always welcome!!
*Class 7 - Arts and Crafts for 5-10 Yr. Olds Fee: $7 Per Class
Wednesdays – 4:15-5:15 Pm Dates: 12/2, 12/9, 12/16, 1/6, 1/13, 1/20, 1/27
**Children will make crafts using different craft medium. Examples include clay, paper
mache, foam, paint, paper, etc. We also paint and discuss styles of art in each class.

Thursdays – 4:15-5:15 Pm Dates: 12/3, 12/10, 12/17, 1/7, 1/14, 1/21, 1/28
**Children will learn skills such as measuring, cutting, mixing, etc. while preparing
snacks, desserts, and appetizers.

**There will be no classes December 20, 2009-January 3, 2010 & January 18, 2010.

**Classes will be canceled and rescheduled in event of inclement weather, school
cancellations, delays or early dismissal due to weather.
**Payment for classes must be made before the first class.

NAUGATUCK ORNAMENTS
DUE TO LOSS OF FUNDING, WE ARE UNABLE TO PROVIDE ORNAMENTS THIS YEAR. WE HAVE A NUMBER OF ORNAMENTS FROM PREVIOUS YEARS AVAILABLE AT THE PARK DEPARTMENT. 2008’S SANTA ORNAMENT WAS MADE BY WOODBURY PEWTER COMPANY, WOODBURY, CT. EACH ORNAMENT IS DATED AND COMES BOXED WITH A RIBBON HANGER. ORNAMENTS ARE $8. WE ALSO HAVE A LIMITED NUMBER OF OUR PLATE ORNAMENTS LEFT FROM PREVIOUS YEARS. THEY CAN BE PURCHASED FOR $5 EACH, 2 FOR 9$, 3 FOR $12.

FESTIVAL OF TREES!
THE UNITED WAY IS HOSTING THE FESTIVAL OF TREES AT NAUGATUCK SAVINGS BANK, 87 CHURCH ST, BEGINNING DECEMBER 4, 2009. THE BANK WILL BE OPEN TO THE PUBLIC ON SATURDAY, DECEMBER 5, 2009 FROM 4-9 PM.
PLEASE COME AND SEE THE BEAUTIFUL TREES ON DISPLAY!
MILITARY TREE
ON DECEMBER 5, 2009, IN ADDITION TO NAUGATUCK’S TRADITIONAL CHRISTMAS TREE ON THE GREEN, WE ARE DECORATING A TREE ON THE GAZEBO DEDICATED TO OUR MEMBERS OF THE MILITARY SERVING AT HOME OR ABROAD. ANY FAMILY MEMBER, VETERAN OR GRATEFUL CITIZEN MAY COME DOWN TO THE GREEN AT ANYTIME AND HANG AN ORNAMENT ON THE TREE TO HONOR OUR SERVICE MEN AND WOMEN.
