Fundraiser:
The Naugatuck Police Union AFSCME
Council 15 / Local 1126 began its annual fundraiser on
Tuesday 9/8/09 and will run through mid November. A
private company was contracted by the Union to solicit
donations by phone from local citizens and businesses. The
fundraiser will end with a charity basketball game featuring
a comedy basketball team Vs the Naugatuck Police Union
All-stars. This game is tentatively scheduled to take place
at Naugatuck High School on November 14th. (The exact date
and time will be forthcoming).

The Naugatuck Police Department
consists of three divisions: Patrol, Investigations, and
Administration. Serving a population of approximately 31,700
and patrolling an area of 16 square miles, the department is
currently staffed with 56 sworn police officers and 16
civilian personnel. The Naugatuck Police Department
responded to 33,088 calls for service in 2007.
MISSION STATEMENT
The mission of the Naugatuck Police
Department is to protect the lives and property of its
citizens and to serve the community’s desire for a peaceful
and safe existence, free from fear. Every officer is
committed to this mission and will make every effort to
deliver professional police service with integrity, honesty
and in a manner that respects the rights of every citizen.
