    Leaf Collection    

- Public Works will be collecting leaves curbside in paper bags on your regular trash day from April 21 - April 25.

 

Naugatuck's 9th Annual Earth Day Community Clean-up

- Help to Clean Up Naugatuck April 1,2008 - April 30,2008

Naugatuck residents can sign up at the Public Works & Recycling Office, 246 Rubber Ave.

Monday - Friday 8am to 3:30pm or call 720-7071

The Borough will provide trash bags & gloves

A list of sites that need cleaning is available or groups can choose a location

 

- The Recycling Site is open Thursdays and Saturdays from 8am to 2pm. The bulk trash portion of the site is currently closed for the winter and will reopen on April 3, 2008.

 

- Please be aware that during snow storms it is the responsibility of the homeowner to remove the snow from their sidewalks.

 

 

NEW !!!!

- Naugatuck residents can now recycle cereal, shoe, and pasta type boxes (remove linings from cereal boxes and windows from pasta boxes), junk mail, office paper, magazines. Place in a paper bag (no plastic bags please) or in a recycling container.

Please do not mix paper & cardboard with cans & bottles, empty aerosol cans containing non-hazardous materials have also been added to the acceptable list. These empty cans can be placed in your recycling bin with the glass and metal food and beverage containers, #1 & #2 plastic bottles, (now plastic bottles up to 3 gallons in size are acceptable), juice boxes, and milk or juice cartons. Always remove and discard caps and rinse all containers, only plastic bottles are accepted no trays, flower pots, toys, or other plastic products.
