The Borough of Naugatuck will host all Land Use board meetings remotely and in person until further notice. Public attendance is allowed in Town Hall. Public Comment or Testimony can be accepted via email in written form at ecarter@naugatuck-ct.gov prior to a meeting. Members of the public may also testify by video during these meetings. Name and address will be required to comment.

MEETING AGENDA

 

Please be advised that the Zoning Commission Meeting scheduled on Wednesday October 15, 2025 at 6:00 P.M. will be held in person for the Zoning Commission Members and Applicants in the Hall of Burgesses 4th Floor Town Hall, 229 Church St. The meeting will be held virtually via ZOOM for members of the Public. Public may attend.

 

1.   Call to order, pledge of allegiance and attendance will be taken. After determination of a quorum, Alternates will be designated as voting members, if necessary.

 

2.    Approval of the September 24, 2025 Regular Meeting Minutes and the secretary will sign previously approved minutes.

 

PUBLIC HEARINGS

 

  1. Cont’d PUBLIC HEARING: 6:05 P.M. – Special Permit Application for a proposed camp facility

    for the property located at 308 Gunntownn Rd., Applicant; Naugatuck YMCA.

    Public hearing opens 9/24/25 must close by 10/28/25 unless extension is requested

     

  2. PUBLIC HEARING: 6:10 P.M. – Special Permit Application for 2 interior lots for the property located at 0 Field St. Acct# 001-3801, Applicant; Onofrios Total Construction.

    Public hearing opens 10/15/25 must close by 11/19/25 unless extension is requested

      

  3. PUBLIC HEARING: 6:15 P.M. – Special Permit Application for the addition of 2000 cubic yards of earth material to a residential lot for the property located at 187 Forest St. Applicant; Mathew Patino. Public hearing opens 10/15/25 must close by 11/19/25 unless extension is requested

  2. Accept a Special Permit Application, refer to the Planning Commission and set a Public Hearing Date for the Wednesday, November 19th Zoning Meeting for a Retail Auto Tire Shop for the property located at 32 Rubber Ave., Applicant: Town Fair Tire.

     

  3. Commission discussion in regard to potential future Zone Change for properties in the Rubber Ave Design District.
