The Borough of Naugatuck will host all Land Use board meetings remotely and in person until further notice. Public attendance is allowed in Town Hall. Public Comment or Testimony can be accepted via email in written form at ecarter@naugatuck-ct.gov prior to a meeting. Members of the public may also testify by video during these meetings. Name and address will be required to comment.

MEETING AGENDA

 

1.   Call to order, pledge of allegiance and attendance will be taken. After determination of a quorum, Alternates will be designated as voting members, if necessary.

 

2.    Approval of the February 21, 2024 Meeting Minutes and the secretary will sign previously approved minutes.

PUBLIC HEARINGS

 

PUBLIC HEARING: 6:05 P.M. – Special Permit Application for the addition of up to 750 cubic yards of earth material for the property located at 0 Auburn St.  Acct#049-1409, Applicant; Carlos Santos.

Public hearing opens 3/20/24 must close by 4/22/24 unless an extension is requested by applicant.

 

PUBLIC HEARING: 6:15 P.M. – for a proposed text change to the I-1 Zone District of the Naugatuck Land Use Regulations, Applicant; Borough of Naugatuck.

Public hearing opens 2/21/24 No closing date as this is a Borough of Naugatuck initiated request.

 

3.    OLD BUSINESS:

 

  1. Commission discussion/decision for Special Permit Application for the addition of 750 cubic yards of earth material for the property located at 0 Auburn St., Acct # 049-1409, Applicant; Carlos Santos.

     

  2. Commission discussion/decision for a proposed text change request to the I-1 Zone District, Applicant; Borough of Naugatuck.

     

  3. Commission discussion for the Soil/Erosion Plan for 402 Hillside Ave., Applicant; Jennifer Finlay.

 

4.     NEW BUSINESS:

 

  1. Commission discussion/decision for a proposed site plan modification to add to gas pumps to the property located at 801 Rubber Ave., Applicant; Nadeem Khalid.

     

  2. Commission discussion/decision to ratify a change of use request for a artist studio venue for unit 1A 175 Church St located in back of building on Old Firehouse Rd., Applicant; Hotel Huxley.

 

5.    Motion to recess to Aquafer Protection Agency meeting.
