Tree Debris Pickup Planned along Borough-Maintained Roads

 

This announcement is addressed to all property owners abutting Borough-maintained roads. Following the initial storm response and debris cleanup the Department of Public Works has re-evaluated its resources and starting Monday, November 14, 2011 property owners may place all tree branches from the October 29, 2011, Nor’easter (Storm Alfred) 5-10 feet from the edge of pavement for pickup in the coming days/weeks.  Please do not place the debris near, or obstruct access to, any sidewalks utility poles or wires, fire hydrants, mailboxes or overhanging trees.

 

Only green/new tree debris will be picked up at the curb along Borough-maintained roads. The borough will not pick up yard debris not from the storm.  Once the Public Works Crews completes an area they will not be returning.

 

Although the Public Works Department will be attempting to follow trash collection schedules for storm debris cleanup. The DPW can not guarantee the timing of pick up, please put out all tree debris by Monday, November 14, 2011 @ 7:00 AM.

 

Borough leaves will be on schedule and picked up on resident’s collection day with a different truck do not mix bagged leaves with trash or tree debris. November 14 through November 18 and November 28 through December 2

 

The Public will be notified when FEMA is available for claims regarding property damage and storm related cost incurred due to Storm Alfred.
