POSITION: MANAGER – TEMPORARY/SEASONAL POSITION
DEPARTMENT: DPW Hop Brook Golf Course
WORKING HOURS: 30-35 hours per week
DATES OF POSITION: Approximately April 1, 2012 to December 7, 2012
RATE OF PAY: $12.33 per hour
DATE: February 27, 2012
GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES: Performs a variety of general administrative functions at the DPW – Hop Brook Golf Course. Manages daily operation of proshop & personnel; schedules personnel; operates/reports POS computer system; deposits receipts; assists with & manages accounts & budget; oversees/performs cart maintenance/service/cleaning; attends Golf Commission meetings; orders supplies, equipment & parts; acts as required as the Office Worker, Starter Ranger, & Maintenance Worker; deals with the public & enforces course rules in a respectful & courteous manner; completes staff reviews annually and other duties as required.
SUPERVISION RECEIVED: Will work under the supervision of the Director of Public Works.
QUALIFICATIONS – KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Must have a high school diploma or GED; minimum of 5 years management experience; grounds, building, & vehicle maintenance experience preferred; must have a valid driver’s license. Applicant should have excellent customer service skills; effective communication skills; and computer skills/POS (point of sale).
