Naugatuck Spring Curbside Leaf Collection

Leaves, pine needles, and other soft yard waste will be collected on Naugatuck resident’s regular trash day, in 30 gallon paper bags, the week of April 15th through April 19th. These materials are also accepted year round at the Recycling Center, open Thursday & Saturday 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM in 30 gallon paper bags only. Leaves are not accepted in plastic bags, and no garbage, stones, or excessive sticks can be mixed with the leaves.

Leaves, and grass clippings cannot be placed in the new automated carts, they cannot be mixed with the cans and bottles for recycling and cannot be placed in the trash. Home compost bins are available and are sold to Naugatuck residents at the Recycling Center. Turning leaves and other plant materials into compost at home produces a valuable resource for use in gardens and lawns.
