Pedestrian Greenway Phase I

Naugatuck, CT- The Borough of Naugatuck Department of Public Works announced today that the Route 8 Southbound entrance ramp at exit 28 will be closed beginning on Monday July 8, 2013. Motorists will be detoured on North Main Street to the Southbound entrance ramp at exit 27. The ramp closure is required for construction of retaining walls and fencing necessary for the completion of the Pedestrian Greenway along the Naugatuck River.

These construction activities are part of a 2 million dollar contract that is being constructed by Guerrera Construction Company of Oxford, CT under the direction of the Naugatuck Department of Public Works.

It is anticipated that the ramp closure and detour will be in effect for approximately 10 weeks.
