4/30/2011 - Prescription Medicine National Take Back Day - April 30

The National Take-Back Day provides an opportunity for the public to surrender expired, unwanted, or unused pharmaceutical controlled substances and other medications (like aspirin, and cough medicine) vitamins, and unknown medicines for destruction. These drugs are a potential source of supply for illegal use and an unacceptable risk to public health and safety.

This program is anonymous, free, and open to all residents.

 

Unacceptable Items: NO intra-venous solution, injectables, needles, or thermometers.

NO illicit substances such as marijuana or methamphetamine.

 

Collection locations include:  

Middlebury Transfer Station, 1 Service Rd. (Off Rte 63), Middlebury, CT

Woodbury Resident Trooper’s Office, 271 Main St. South, Woodbury, CT

Thomaston Police Department, 158 Main St. Thomaston, CT

Woodbridge Police Department, 4 Meetinghouse Lane, Woodbridge, CT
