Borough of Naugatuck Police Officer

The Borough of Naugatuck is seeking new recruit applicants for the position of Police Officer.
The written examination is scheduled for Monday, June 8, 2015 and the oral examination date is to be determined. The Borough of Naugatuck offers an excellent fringe benefits package including a defined contribution retirement plan, tuition reimbursement, health, dental, and vision insurance. The starting base salary for a Naugatuck Police Officer is $61,392.28 annually.

Minimum Requirements:
• Be 21 years of age at time of appointment
• Be a U.S. Citizen
• Have a High School Diploma or GED
• Possess a valid motor vehicle operator’s license
• Possess a valid CHIP card at a minimum 40th percentile by application deadline
• Pass the physical agility test at the 50th percentile according to Cooper’s physical fitness standards at time of appointment
• Candidates must successfully complete and pass a thorough background investigation, polygraph examination, psychological interview/test, and comprehensive medical examination including drug/alcohol screening.
Failure to meet any of the above requirements will disqualify a candidate for employment as a Police Officer with the Borough of Naugatuck.
