Cross Street Reconstruction

State Project No. 87-145

 

The Borough of Naugatuck, Connecticut has a project for the Reconstruction of Cross Street in the Borough of Naugatuck between Route 8 and New Haven Road (Route 63), including intersection improvements at Cotton Hollow Road.  Preliminary design has been completed and the project is slated for construction under the Federal Surface Transportation Program administered by the Connecticut Department of Transportation.

It is the Borough’s and the States policy to keep persons informed and involved when such projects are undertaken.  It is important that the community share its concerns to assist in the projects development.  The Borough of Naugatuck will conduct an informational meeting on Thursday, June 23, 2016, at 6:00 P.M. at the Town Hall, fourth floor, Hall of Burgesses, 229 Church Street.

Based on a preliminary assessment, the construction cost will be approximately $4,430,000.

 

Funding for the project will be 80% from the Federal Highway Administration, 10% from the State of Connecticut and 10% from the Borough of Naugatuck.

 

Preliminary plans and reports are available for review on the Borough’s web site http://www.naugatuck-ct.gov.
