The Borough of Naugatuck will host all Land Use board meetings remotely and in person until further notice. Public attendance is allowed in Town Hall. Public Comment or Testimony can be accepted via email in written form at ecarter@naugatuck-ct.gov prior to a meeting. Members of the public may also testify by video during these meetings. Name and address will be required to comment.

Please be advised that the Zoning Commission Meeting scheduled on Wednesday January 21, 2026 at 6:00 P.M. will be held in person for the Zoning Commission Members and Applicants in the Hall of Burgesses 4th Floor Town Hall, 229 Church St. The meeting will be held virtually via ZOOM for members of the Public. Public may attend.

 1.   Call to order, pledge of allegiance and attendance will be taken. After determination of a quorum, Alternates will be designated as voting members, if necessary.

2.    Approval of the November 19, 2025 Regular Meeting Minutes and the secretary will sign previously approved minutes.

 

PUBLIC HEARINGS

 

  1. Cont’d PUBLIC HEARING: 6:10 P.M. – Special Permit Application for 2 interior lots for the property located at 0 Field St. Acct# 001-3801, Applicant; Onofrios Total Construction.

Public hearing opens 11/19/25 must close by 12/24/25 unless extension is requested

29 Days of extension time has been used

(This Public Hearing will be continued till the February Zoning Commission Meeting

Wetlands Commission has not acted on the Inland/Wetland’s application)

 

 3.    OLD BUSINESS:

 

  1. Commission discussion/decision for the proposed Special Permit Application for a camp facility for the property located at 308 Gunntown Rd., Applicant; Naugatuck YMCA.

     

  2. Commission discussion/decision for the Special Permit Application for 2 interior lots for the property located at 0 Field St. Acct # 001-3801, Applicant; Onofrios Total Construction.

 

 4.     NEW BUSINESS:

 

  1. Applicant is requesting a Bond Reduction from $54,384.00 to $715.00 for the Site Plan Application for the property located at 207 Elm St., Applicant; International Framers, LLC.

     

  2. Commission discussion to set a Public Hearing for the proposed Zone Change for residential use properties that are currently in the Rubber Ave. Design District Zone. Applicant; Borough of Naugatuck. (See attached list of properties to this agenda.)
