Due to the incoming storm this weekend, the Saturday, Sept. 26th HHW will now be rescheduled to Saturday, November 14th at the Ansonia Transfer Station.
NVCOG has created the following language for municipalities to post on their municipal websites, social media pages, and voice/text messaging to residents if your municipality has that capability:
“Important Household Hazardous Waste Event Update
Due to the forecasted weather conditions of heavy winds and rain associated with the nor’easter expected this Friday into Saturday, the Fall Household Hazardous Waste Collection scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 26, 2026 has been canceled.
We want to ensure that residents and staff remain safe. We appreciate your understanding. The next Household Hazardous Waste event will be held at Ansonia Transfer Station, 1 North Division St. on Saturday, November 14th.
