The Parks & Recreation Department is responsible for maintaining recreational areas throughout the Borough of Naugatuck. In addition, park employees prepare fields for sports activities, carry out improvements on properties and set up facilities for large town events. The Parks and Recreation Department offers holiday events for all seasons. In addition, there are events held at the Town Green seasonally. The department coordinates use of the Town Green for many events, such as concerts and fairs. They also organize and run various summer activities for residents, including sports programs and summer playground programs. The above mentioned programs and activities will be available on this Web site in coming months. Park Commission meetings are scheduled on the second Wednesday of each month at 6:00 p.m. and are held at the Naugatuck Recreation Center, 607 Rubber Ave. The public is invited to attend.
